The clubhouse in a golf course community often doubles as a community centre, where residents and guests gather to socialize and enjoy the lifestyle provided. Planning for the location of the clubhouse / community centre is extremely important not only as it relates to the requirements of the golf course, but also in terms of establishing a sense of identity for the entire golf course community. Ideally, planning for the clubhouse location should accommodate returning nines, a practice facility, ample, conveniently located parking and easy accessibility for all residents within the community. Planning to position the clubhouse in a prominent location with scenic views over the surrounding country side and over the golf course will help to establish a strong identity and sense of community for all for of the golf course community residents.
