The Copper Creek project combined championship golf with the conservation of a significant environmentally sensitive area. The project included very detailed mitigation plans, land donations, and an extensive drainage network to catch all surface water for irrigation usage. This was all done to ensure the protection of unique areas of vegetation and to preserve wildlife habitat.
