Over the years Carrick Design has proven that golf and nature can co-exist in harmony through thoughtful planning and skilful design detail. Nowhere is this story more compelling than at Greywolf Golf Course at Panorama Resort where we created a spellbinding design for renown resort operator Intrawest on one of the most challenging sites we’d been given. We devised an environmentally friendly plan to integrate the site’s rugged natural features into the course design. We also recommended the acquisition of additional land to maximize the potential of the routing and the development while minimizing the disturbance to important natural features.

Surrounded by the Purcell Mountains, at the base of one of Canada’s premier downhill ski destinations, Greywolf features over 500 feet of breathtaking elevation change that created its own design challenges. The routing of the front nine revolved around the tabletop setting for No. 6, Cliffhanger. It was one of those exceptional sites that presented tremendous potential. Today, Cliffhanger is one of the most photographed and recognizable holes in Canadian golf. The course was even featured on Links Golf for Xbox! Simply put, Greywolf is spectacular in every way.
