If you’re looking to live in a golf community where residents truly care about their neighborhoods, the environment and the people who live there, then RiverBend Golf Community is a gleaming example of what works.

We worked with Sifton Properties Ltd. to preserve a rare parcel of Carolinian forest that is bordered by the scenic Thames River. We tried to maintain a natural feel to the property limiting new home construction to one side of the fairways so the golf holes aren’t overwhelmed by the surrounding development. It’s this fine balance between golf and real estate that we work through diligently with every client and understand so well. The 400-acre property consists of the 160-acre RiverBend Golf Course, 130-acres of environmentally protected forest and a beautiful collection of contemporary one-floor homes.

At the request of the owners, our design team fashioned a course that is an inspiring test of golf off the back tees, but more importantly emphasis was placed on overall playability with three additional sets of tees geared towards the majority of the membership. We are also proud of the fact that the course was recognized as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary in 2006 for efforts to improve wildlife habitat, conserve water, and preserve water quality.
