
Steve Vanderploeg B.L.A.
Steve Vanderploeg joined Carrick Design Inc. in the fall of 1997. An avid player since his youth, Steve has combined his love of the game with a deep passion for the landscape to become a golf course architect.
During his time with Carrick Design Steve has taken part in all aspects of the golf course architecture practise, from early concept planning through construction and supervision. He brings a wide variety of interests and experiences including a profound understanding of golf and the environment that guide to his approach to design.
During study for his Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from the University of Toronto , Steve worked as a teaching assistant in advanced computer applications, and served as a lab technician in The Centre for Landscape Research. He undertook several self-directed studies in the use of advanced computer applications for landscape and golf course architecture.
Steve graduated from the University of Toronto in 1998.
